1:00PM — Blues Jam w/Brad Gilmer @ FHS

Blues Jam For Blues Fans!

The Frank Hamilton School will host a Blues Jam on the last Tuesday of every month from 1:00 PM to 2:15 PM. The session is usually facilitated by Brad Gilmer, one of our harmonica teachers, with surprise leaders! If you play the Blues, sing the Blues, have ever been Blue, or even if you just like the color blue, this event is for you. All instruments and all levels are welcome. Don’t have an instrument? Yes, you do – bring your voice! We would love to hear you sing.

The basic plan — Our facilitator will kick things off with several simple 8-Bar or 12-Bar blues tunes. From there, we will ask if anyone has a Blues tune they want to share. (If you want to suggest a tune, please bring 15 copies of a lead sheet with lyrics.) All songs and tunes will be open for everyone to sing and play along.

This is not a class, but a simple chance for those that enjoy this genre of music, or who want to explore it, to have an opportunity to play with others with the same desire.

Free to current students. Not a student? Just bring a love offering for the tuition box!
