Irish fiddling is a genre set apart by bowing patterns that are like no other. The definitive 4/4 rhythms of the polkas, reels, and hornpipes and the 6/8 rhythm of the jigs are created stylistically with the use of the bow and the grouping of the notes. Add an ornament like a treble, and your tunes become the lilting dance music recognized as “Irish”!

This class is recommended for fiddlers at an intermediate or higher level.

This class meets in person.
