Description
TERM 6, 2026
INSTRUCTOR: Brad Gilmer (bio)
DAY/TIME: Tue – 2:30pm, In-person
INSTRUMENT: Harmonica
LEVEL: Beginner
This class is for people who have never played the harmonica before. In this class you will learn how to play chords and melodies, you will find out more about how the instrument works, and we will talk about how to play (the harmonica) nicely with others. The great thing about the harmonica is that you will be able to play a simple tune after the very first class. But the class also serves as an introduction to an instrument that some spend a lifetime mastering.
This is an up-beat and supportive class where we encourage you to express yourself at a level that is appropriate for you, while inviting you to challenge yourself and grow. It turns out the harmonica is one of the most versatile instruments there is, capable of expressing many different emotions.
Prerequisites: There are not prerequisites for this class other than that you are predisposed to have a good time and support others. Please bring an “A” harmonica to class, and feel free to bring other harps if you have them!
This class meets in person.
