“Mark” your calendars, if you haven’t already!

Mark Dvorak, a long-time friend of Frank’s (and FHS) and one of the driving forces behind Music & Potlucks, will be presenting a Zoom workshop entitled “The Guitar According to Mark” — an exploration of the six-string acoustic guitar.

The session is aimed for players who can already change basic chords and will cover several approaches to creating an accompaniment, playing simple melodies, fingerpicking, and blues—all of which are part of the mix. “In learning any instrument,” Mark says, “we invariably hit a plateau where our skills stay at a certain level. That’s the time to examine more deeply what really goes into making acoustic music that is in tune, on time, and more whole.” So, bring your instruments and your questions and be ready to go to work!
