7:00PM — Singing for Justice Documentary @ Tara Theatre

Along with our friends at AAFFM — Atlanta Area Friends of Folk Music, we’re delighted to co-sponsor the documentary Singing for Justice on Saturday, April 19, 7 pm at the Tara Theatre. Singing for Justice tells the story of Faith Petric (1915-2013), a political radical, musician, mother, worker and grandmother who united folk music and activism through almost a century of American social movements. Christie Herring (Co-Director, Producer, Editor) will attend in person, along with Composer and Music Supervisor John McCutcheon. They’ll be moderated in a Q&A after the screening by journalist Virginia Prescott. TICKETS
