LEVEL: Intermediate/Advanced
In this class, we will learn some fresh ways to apply tried and true ‘cowboy chords’ (Fingerstyle Guitar One) up and down the fretboard. We will spend roughly two weeks on strings 1-3, then 2-4, followed by 3-5, and last, strings 4-6. We will learn how to play major and minor triad chords with major and minor scales (known as harmonizing the scale).
As a result, you will come away with an improved sense of fretboard fluency, an ability to play with other guitarists without playing the exact same chords in the exact same positions, and improved fingerpicking flow.
Knowledge of C, A, G, E, F, and D chord shapes will be helpful to begin this class.
For intermediate to advanced guitar players.
