So, You Want To Be On Stage

TERM 4, 2024

INSTRUCTOR: Frank Hamilton (bio)
TIME: Thu – 6:00pm, In-person

Many musicians would love to be on stage performing for others but are hesitant about actually being on stage. This class is designed to help you understand what it is to be in front of an audience, reducing the fear and jitters that invariably come from the unknown aspects and uncertainties of stage performing.

Learning how to prepare a piece for performance, how to work with microphones and amplifiers, and how to seem at ease on stage—the basics of stage craft—will be discussed and practiced in this class. You’ll get the chance to perform in front of your peers, in a supportive and constructive environment, to alleviate the fears of performing for others.

This class meets in person.
